We hired BCL member StoryKeep to produce an audio slideshow about Brooklyn Creative League. StoryKeep did a great job of telling our story and capturing what we’re all about. (For real, people: You should check out StoryKeep’s work. They do an amazing job of helping families, small businesses, and individuals tell the stories that matter most.) Dig it:

Grab your homemade pickles and cookies, people, and head on down to BCL on October 27th at 7:00pm. Here’s the drill, you bring:

1. Larder goods you made (those jams, pickles, kimchi, preserves, butters, chutneys you’ve compulsively canned over the summer)

2. A homemade (i.e. wrapped) food unit for trade (think a bag of crackers, batch of outta-this-world cookies, a loaf of bread, dried foods, ummm…whatevs, just so long as you made it)

OR

3. A snack for 20-30 people …

Ana Joanes, director of FRESH, will explore how, as we explore the meaning of the word “sustainability,” we begin to develop a vision of a complex web of life where each element — soil, water, worms, animals, wind, trees, insects, etc — has a place and a role.
